Tanka Bar Recipe Contest
Calling all Tanka Bar lovers, chefs and people who like a challenge in the kitchen: It's a recipe contest! What yummy dish can you make with these bison and cranberry bars? Is it a taco, a salad add in, or just warmed and served with mashed potatoes?
TANKA is an Oglala Lakota word that references being your best with all your heart, mind, body and spirit. It is the choices that you make and the actions that you take to be who you are. Tanka Bars, Bites and sticks are all-natural, high protein snacks made with prairie-raised buffalo and tart-sweet cranberries. Native American Natural Foods is a Native American company and the recipe used is based on Wasna, a traditional Lakota dish. Smoky and slightly sweet, Tanka products are only 70 calories and 1.5 grams of fat per serving. Made in South Dakota on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation of the Oglala Lakota Sioux
