About Frank Peterson

Frank is a proud Makah tribal member and currently resides in Seattle, Washington. Frank works primarily with paints, oil pastels, and wood. He utilizes these materials in his carvings and portrait masks. His work is meant to find a balance in the abstract and the literal; adding the spiritual aspects of his heritage with life experiences. Frank has cherished his time spent there - affirming the connections it provides to his ancestors. These connections were forged growing up in Neah Bay on the Makah reservation learning from his elders.

Frank says his work is meant to find a balance in the abstract, adding the spiritual aspects of his heritage with life experiences. Growing up, he spent quality time in Neah Bay on the Makah reservation learning from his elders. He cherishes his time spent there as it affirms the connections it provides to his ancestors.

We cannot wait to see you there!
