This fetish of the Zuni Corn Maiden is carved from Acoma jet by Zuni artist, Sandra Quandelacy. It features the six types of corn, stones and beads of the necklace that are all carved from a variety of semi-precious stones. The fetish piece is intricately carved on both sides and reverses from a white face to a blue face. From the collection of jewelry makers Sibert Seciwa (Zuni), wife Vita (Laguna/Navajo) and his family of artisans. These are one of a kind pieces from Seciwa's SW Native Jewelry and Crafts which are ordinarily found at a local powwow or gathering here in the Pacific NW.
